§ Prepares the Fleet Division budget, and identifies all requirements as related to manpower, training, investment / disposal / maintenance of assets, facilities, etc.
§ Reviews rental rates on regular basis to enhance profitability while maintaining competitiveness
§ Secures rental contracts (internal and external clients) to maximize asset utilization, and manages costs to ensure that the Fleet Department achieves its revenue and profit objectives
§ Sets fleet specifications to ensure maximum standardization and minimize operating and maintenance costs
§ Develops a network of suppliers for fleet purchasing, fleet rentals, fleet maintenance, and fleet spare parts supply
§ Coordinates with Procurement for Fleet purchasing (assets and spare parts), and ensures that all Fleet assets are properly tagged and tracked; provides inputs into the procurement of stationary equipment (e.g. for AQR processing facilities)
§ Ensures that the Fleet assets are insured, while optimizing insurance costs
§ Ensures that the Fleet assets comply with all relevant regulations (e.g., emissions, working hours, certificates for heavy tonnage trucks, etc.)
§ Recruits and develops a team of capable and cost-effective Fleet operators and support personnel, and ensures they maintain up-to-date licenses
§ Coordinates with AQ Recycling's BUs for the assignment of fleet assets and operators to meet their requirements, and establishes SLAs
§ Implements effective systems for the planning and efficient execution of Fleet dispatches in all locations
§ Implements an effective preventive maintenance system for Fleet assets
§ Manages the Fleet maintenance function to achieve cost efficiency, speed of service, and quality of service
§ Optimizes Fleet inventory (spare parts and consumables)
§ Ensures timely invoicing to Fleet users, and follows up on collection
§ Tracks Fleet KPIs, as related to availability and fulfillment, quality of service, cost of operation, cost of maintenance, safety, and compliance
§ Develops plans and initiatives for improvement
§ Develops and institutionalizes AQ's data, know-how, and capabilities in fleet management
§ Is responsible for the development, performance appraisal, and succession planning of all direct reports
